Sony Xperia Z2 tablet leaks, to compete with iPad Air and Galaxy Note 10.1

Sony is busy readying its next water-proof tablet for a launch. After the success of Xperia Z tablet in 2013 the company will soon be launching Xperia Z2 tablet with cutting edge specs.

@evleaks  has tweeted a pic of the tablet today which reflects a front profile like last year’s Xperia Z 10 incher. The tablet will be a 10.1 inch device with Snapdragon 800 processor chip inside. In another tweet the leakster revealed detailed specs of the tablet - “Sony XPERIA Z2 tablet: SD800 (2.3GHz x4), 10.1" 1920x1200 Triluminos, 3GB/16GB/microSD, 8MP/2MP, 6000mAh, 6.4mm, KK 4.4, waterproof” tweeted the leakster yesterday.

According to the tweet, this tablet will come with 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with full HD display, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 8 megapixel primary camera, 2 megapixel secondary camera, 6000 mAh battery and KitKat 4.4 OS on board. The tablet will be 6.4mm thin, which is thinner than the Galaxy Note 10.1 that comes at 7.9mm thinness and iPad Air that stands at the thickness of 7.4 mm.

Compared to the last year’s tablet we could see a jump in processor, processor speed and RAM. This year’s Z2 sports a similar 8 megapixel camera like last year’s Z tablet (2013 edition). Since the tablet Z came with 64 GB expandable memory, this year’s water-proof tablet could come with a similar or higher expandable memory.
