LG has announced that it will unveil its third generation of popular L-Series III smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this month.
The L-Series III devices will sport minimal design philosophy and boast enhanced hardware, UX features and latest Android OS. The company hopes the L-Series III to continue the momentum provided by the earlier two generation of Series I and Series II.
The phones will sport seamless layout, delicate finishing, refined metallic frame and Quick Window smart cover. The smart covers will come in three vibrant colors and have been designed specifically for a mid-range smartphone, LG says.
These models under the Series III will come with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, which the company has refined, for a more beautiful and immersive performance and a more intuitive user experience.
“From the design to the OS to the UX, the L Series III exemplifies LG’s commitment to bringing the best smartphone experience to as many consumers as possible. We’re confident that the L Series III will be a strong volume driver in 3G markets,” Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG.
The three phones that will be on showcase are:
LG L Series III L90: This will be a 4.7-inch IPS display phone with a display resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and will be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. There will be 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory in the phone. Other specs include 8 megapixel primary, 1.3 megapixel secondary camera, 2540 mAh removable battery. The 3G phone will have the dimensions of 131.6 x 66.0 x 9.7mm and will run Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box.
LG L Series III L70: The L70 will be a 4.5-inch IPS display phone with a display resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. The 3G phone will run on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and will offer 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory. There will be 8 megapixel primary and 5 megapixel or a VGA secondary camera. The battery will be a 2100 mAh removable one. The phone dimensions will be 127.2 x 66.8 x 9.5mm and it will run Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
LG L Series III L40: This will be a smaller 3.5 inch display phone with a display resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. Other specs include dimensions of 109.4 x 59.0 x 11.9mm, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, 3 megapixel camera, 1700 mAh battery (which might be removable), Android 4.4 KitKat and 3G connectivity.
