Rahul Gandhi to address ‘all-women rally’ in Karnataka today

Tumkur: The vice-president of Congress Rahul Gandhi has set the stage and is trying to leave an impact with back to back rallies ahead of forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. He is slated to address an all-women rally at Tumkur in Karnataka on Sunday just a day after his rally in Belgaum.

Rahul is not leaving a stone unturned in making people aware about his plan of women empowerment and how much it means to him. The all women rally can be seen a step towards it as his focus is particular on women community to garner the much needed support.

He targeted the main opposition party BJP in his rally conducted yesterday and accused the BJP leaders for growing corruption in the state.

It is expected that Rahul will conduct more women rallies all across the country and will make sure that this segment is highly focused before the elections. There are several reasons that can be listed for which the congress is going ahead with the women rally.

The common trend is India is that women hardly attend such rallies. Therefore, Rahul Gandhi this time ensured that women get an equal opportunity to be part of nation’s politics and be an active voter. It was in January this year when the co-chairman of Congress Campaign Committee for Lok Sabha polls lifted the curtain from his plan of empowering women and provide them more power in politics.
