James Blunt enjoys online abuse

English singer-songwriter James Blunt says he enjoys being abused online on social networking sites such as Twitter.

The `Bonfire Heart` hitmaker doesn't mind getting nasty messages on Twitter and likes using the social networking website to engage in humour with his critics.

"I used to tweet a lot more because I was being abused and I rather enjoy being abused, because I'm a sado-masochist,` contactmusic.com quoted Blunt as saying.

"I was in the army and I was abused much more there! It's only words but I can understand why young people can feel bullied by that kind of thing, but for an adult like myself, it's not abuse, I enjoy it.

"And I really enjoy writing back and having a laugh with them. I don't think we should take Twitter that seriously,` he added.

George Clooney still looking for joy

Actor George Clooney says he is still looking for happiness, and peacefulness.

The 52-year-old, who was mocked by Tina Fey at the Golden Globe awards over his constant pursuit of younger women, has responded by saying that he is getting "wiser" as he is growing older, but his priorities remain the same, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Discussing the joke, Clooney said: "Yes, I did hear and I heard everybody laughing very hard too."

"All I will say is we get wiser as we get older. And that what I am looking for in life is the same as I always have; happiness, peacefulness and joy. And that's all I'm going to say about that because otherwise I'd get into trouble," he added.

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has reportedly rekindled his romance with model-girlfriend Alyssa Miller.

Miller took to Instagram Thursday to post a photograph of an unopened Valentine's Day card allegedly from the actor, reports nydailynews.com.

According to justjared.com, the back of the envelope was written in the 33-year-old star's handwriting, and it read "To be opened on Valentine's Day."

Miller has since removed the image that documented the romantic gesture, but she did caption the photo, "don't think I can wait any longer."

The two reportedly parted ways last month due to conflicting schedules and distance.

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez reportedly avoids taking a break from work because she fears if she will take time off, her career will "be over".

The singer, who has five-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, is always working on new projects and ideas, but her busy schedule makes some people around her uncomfortable, reports contactmusic.com.

"Jennifer is constantly working, 24 hours a day. She makes phone calls at all hours of the night. She'll have an idea and work non-stop until it happens. That kind of work ethic is why she's had success, but it's hard for people to deal with," said a source.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan feels her actor husband Saif Ali Khan should venture into Hollywood as he perfectly fits the bill for being there.

I never admitted anything in e-mails, everything is rubbish, asserts Tejpal

The founder of Tehelka Tarun Tejpal has condemned the chargesheet, in which he has been charged with rape and called it a political vendetta. Tejpal has been accused of sexual assault by a colleague during an event of the magazine and the Goa police claimed just a day before that they have enough evidences to charge him with rape.

Stressing over the part that he is innocent, Tejpal told NDTV that, "Goa police chargesheet is simply political vendetta. There is absolutely no truth in any of the charges against me.  There is hundred per cent chance I will be found innocent."

He added that the CCTV footage in the possession of police is clear evidence of him being innocent but the police are not releasing those tapes. The bail plea of Tejpal is to be heard on March 4th. They had been a great commotion regarding the e-mails of Tejpal as it was learnt that he admitted his crime in that but if Tejpal is believed, he didn’t do so in any e-mail.

"That's total rubbish. I never admitted in emails," added Tejpal.

Mr Tejpal, who is 50 years old, is charged with rape, unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures and taking advantage of one's official position.

TV reports said that Hyderabad will be the joint capital for Seemandhra and Telangana for ten years till new capital gets created.

The Centre, unfazed by vehement protests, moved the controversial bill on Tuesday for consideration and passage in the Lower House.

Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde moved the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2014 for consideration even though ministers and MPs from Seemandhra region trooped into the Well of the House opposing bifurcation of the state.

Waves of euphoria in Telangana as Lok Sabha passes historic bill: Here are the latest updates

New Delhi: The process of forming the 29th state in India inched a step closer on Tuesday with the Lok Sabha passing the historic Telangana Bill by voice vote amid din. The Lower House saw vehement protests by members from Seemandhra region as Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde tabled the bill to carve Telangana out of Andhra Pradesh.

 

According to CNN-IBN, as many as 67 amendments were passed clause by clause by headcount. The Parliament was adjourned after the Telangana Bill was passed. It will go to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

 

 

An amendment to make Hyderabad the sole capital of Telangana was defeated. TV reports said that Hyderabad will be the joint capital for Seemandhra and Telangana for ten years till new capital gets created. 

The Centre earned widespread criticism over the passage of the Telangana Bill amid blackout of live telecast. The principal opposition party also attacked the Congress-led UPA after supporting T-Bill. The BJP’s Sushma Swaraj, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha deemed the blackout as a “tactical glitch”.
   

Parties that walked out of the Lower House in protest include Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Janata Dal-United JD(U). TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said: “I am sorry to say this is more than even an Emergency.”


YSR Congress supremo Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday brought thousands of protesters from Seemandhra to the Capital against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He deemed the passage of T-Bill as “murder of democracy” in broad daylight.

While several lawmakers including K Chandasekhar Rao and Ghulam Nabi Azad were seen celebrating, Reddy called for a shutdown in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
    


The secretary general of Lok Sabha has reportedly asked the CE of Lok Sabha TV to fix the glitch by 11am tomorrow.



Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supporters celebrated in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the region. It was gloom in Seemandhra as political activists expressed their disgust and anger.

Telangana Bill passed in Lok Sabha; pepper spray MP resigns, quits politics

Hyderabad: Seemandhra MP L Rajagopal, who had created a storm by splashing pepper spray in Lok Sabha, on Tuesday resigned from Parliament and announced quitting politics, saying he was "hurt" as Telugu people have been divided following the passage of Telangana Bill in Lok Sabha.

Rajagopal, an expelled member of Congress, said he has sent his resignation to the Lok Sabha Secretariat and he would meet Speaker Meira Kumar tomorrow to press for its acceptance.

The Vijayawada MP's action came within hours after the controversial bill was passed by the Lok Sabha.

The Speaker had suspended 16 Seemandhra MPs, including Rajagopal who opposes Telangana state, after the pepper spray incident on February 13 and they could not attend the House today.

"I submit my resignation from Lok Sabha. I am quitting politics too. I'm hurt as Telugu-speaking people are divided now. It is a sad day. I lost interest in politics," Rajagopal told PTI.

The industrialist-politician said he had announced in the year 2009 at the peak of pro-Telangana agitation that he would quit politics if a separate state is formed.

"Formation of separate Telangana is not in the interest of Telugu-speaking people and the nation as a whole," he said.

He said he would work for the unity of Telugu-speaking people. "I have formed an NGO Rajagopal Foundation. I will now work for the unity of Telugu-speaking people," Rajagopal said.

Asked whether he regrets the pepper spray attack in the House, which had attracted widespread condemnation, he said, "I did everything for the unity of Andhra Pradesh".

His resignation comes at a time when the Committee of Privileges of Lok Sabha, which has got punitive powers, has been asked by the Speaker to go into the incident termed Meira Kumar as a "blot" on democracy.

Unprecedented pandemonium had broken out in the House when Rajagopal, who is opposed to the division of Andhra Pradesh, brought a canister from which he sprayed pepper.

All political parties have demanded action against him. Government has already said it would not oppose whatever decision the Speaker takes in this regard.
