IPL match-fixing: Srini refuses to react, ICC says it's BCCI's internal matter

IPL match-fixing: Srini refuses to react, ICC says it's BCCI`s internal matterNew Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief N Srinivasan has refused to react to the startling revelations made by Bollywood actor Vindu Dara Singh in a sting operation conducted by the  Media Corp on match-fixing in the IPL tournaments.

“I don`t react on such things,” Srinivasan said when quizzed by a Media reporter.

Meanwhile, the International cricket body – International Cricket Council (ICC) – stated today that IPL match-fixing scandal is BCCI`s internal matter.

“This is BCCI`s internal mater and ICC can`t intervene in it. Whatever action will be taken is by BCCI itself,” the ICC said.

Meanwhile, demands for re-investigation into the Indian Premier League match-fixing scandal have grown louder after Vindu Dara Singh revealed that the entire IPL match-fixing fiasco was actually a tussle between Union Agriculture Minister and NCP chief Sharad Pawar and BCCI president N Srinivasan, while talking exclusively to Zee Media Corp.

On Tuesday, Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil ordered a re-investigation into the IPL match-fixing scandal after Vindu, who was also named in the case, made surprising revelations and alleged that some influential people from the sports and politics were involved in betting and match-fixing.

Patil further said that Vindu should also be interrogated in the matter again.

Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi also reacted to the report in an sms sent to the Zee Media and demanded a CBI investigation into the matter. The sacked IPL commissioner also raised questions over the intentions of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and its Anti Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU), as he wrote ``what are ICC and ACSV are doing in the matter?``

Delhi Police, which have already interrogated the matter, also stated that the entire case could be re-investigated if required.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have also decided to re-investigate the entire IPL match-fixing matter and confirmed that Vindu will be interrogated once again.
