Julia Roberts goes blonde

Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has gone blonde from being a redhead.

The 47-year-old actress looked unrecognisable in a strawberry-blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, reported People magazine. This is the first time the 'Pretty Woman' star has lightened up her locks this much for a non-work-related reason, reported the magazine.

Last time Roberts was seen sporting golden locks was in the ads for Lancome.

The star was lying low in the weeks following the death of her half sister Nancy Motes but she resurfaced in LA with golden locks.

Garner disliked McConaughey's thin frame

Actress Jennifer Garner says her co-star Matthew McConaughey's excessive weight loss for their Oscar-nominated film "Dallas Buyers Club" made her upset.

McConaughey lost approximately 25 kg to play AIDS patient Ron Woodroof in the film.

"I hated seeing Matthew so - I mean, he looked ill. He looked legitimately really, very ill," Garner said in a statement.

`Dallas Buyers Club` will release in India Friday.

Katy Perry upsets Muslims in 'Dark Horse'

Singer Katy Perry has upset Muslims by using "blasphemous" imagery in the music video of her new hit 'Dark Horse'.

In the promo, she is seen as an Egyptian queen who has the power to zap her subjects with lightning and turn them into sand, and she offends Muslims by killing a man wearing a pendant reading god (Allah) in Arabic. The jewellery item is also zapped. Members of the Muslim community have criticised the video, calling it blasphemous. They demand its removal from video-sharing site YouTube, reports a website.

One of those offended by the imagery has launched a petition on Change.org, which reads, "This petition is lodged In (sic) regards to Katy Perry's music video 'Dark Horse'... The video is considered as highly controversial to its viewers as a result of its portrayal of blasphemy.

"At 01:15 (minutes) into the video Dark Horse; a man is shown being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word Allah, which is the arabic (sic) word for god. Such goes to show, that blasphemy is clearly conveyed in the video, since Katy Perry (who appears to be representing an opposition of god) engulfs the believer and the word God in flames.

"This is the reason for lodging the petition so that people from different walks of life, different religions and from different parts of the world, agree that the video promotes blasphemy (sic). Using the name of God in an irrelevant and distasteful manner would be considered inappropriate by any religion."

Tampa gets ready for Shiamak style!

The Guru of Dance who has led the world into embracing Bollywood dance is getting the biggest stars ready for a tryst in The USA. Aamir, Abhishek, Jaya, Praise their Acting Guru

It was hearting to see a documentary film on the master that was played on an education portal designed by Shekhar Mennon. It was poignant to see how moved Taneja saheb was when the trailer of the documentary film `The Choices We Make` played and how he clutched Shekhar's hand when the lights came on in the auditorium after the felicitation.

Anil Kapoor said, `He is the best guru I thing India ever his contribution to Indian cinema is incredible.`

Jaya Bachchan Said, `My initial response and reaction to sir is exactly what he is today he is complete Gentleman he picked up thing that not many people would and he couldn't fool them.`


Prof. Taneja enters his 51st year as a pioneer of method acting in India. A full length documentary on his journey that started from being trained as an actor under the legendary Sanford Meisner in New York to him becoming one of India's most renowned guru of acting.

Mathura beckons Manoj again

Actor Manoj Bajpayee is back in Mathura to shoot for the forthcoming movie "Tevar".

"Going back to Mathura. Long hours of traveling and shooting in the night. 'Tevar'," Manoj tweeted Wednesday.

He was in Mathura a few days back for the shoot too.

Directed by debutant director Amit Sharma, "Tevar" also features Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.

Purab's role in 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' is different?

Actor Purab Kohli says his role in forthcoming movie "Shaadi Ke Side Effects" is different from the characters he has essayed earlier.

"My character is that of a very cool techie person, different from the kind of roles I have done previously," Purab said in a statement.

"Shaadi Ke Side Effects", which features Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan in the lead role, is directed by Saket Chaudhary and co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Pritish Nandy Communications.

"I'm glad Pritish Nandy Communications and Saket thought of me for this guest appearance. Also, an opportunity to work with Farhan again is always exciting. Especially when there is comedy involved, he's just superb," said the actor, who starred with Farhan in "Rock On!!".


In "Shaadi Ke Side Effects", the former video jockey has more screen time with Vidya.

"She is not only a talented actor but also such a beautiful and strong woman," he said.

"Shaadi Ke Side Effects" will hit the screens Friday.

Aamir Khan has rubbished reports of threat to his life in the wake of sensitives issues taken up by him during the first season of his television show 'Satyamev Jayate'.

After Aamir touched upon sensitive topics like female foeticide, medical malpractices and honour killing in 'Satyamev Jayate', he had apparently received several threats to stop highlighting such cases.

There were reports that Aamir had ordered a bullet proof car as some of the episodes of 'Satyamev Jayate 2' may throw light on governance and issues related to Lok Sabha elections 2014. "I have not got any threats.

I don't fear... threats. Do not go with the rumours. There is no threat to me," the actor said. The show anchored by Aamir, 48, will be aired on television from March 2.

"We think ourselves as communicators, our responsibility is to talk about an issue, present the data and talk about the law. I want people to join... engage in the movement and stand for the right things. Personally, I would like to endorse women empowerment," he said.
