Aamir lost his way in Patna

Aamir lost his way in Patna

Aamir Khan travelled to Bihar to promote the second season of his upcoming issue-based show, 'Satyamev Jayate'.

However, on his way from Patna, to Gehlaur in Gaya, he took the wrong road and travelled in the opposite direction for quite a while. Soon a quick U-turn was taken. I am guessing this is a new experience for Aamir, who might walk the untrodden path once in a while, but never the one to take unknown ones.

However, the effort seemed worth it, as when he reached the spot where 'Mountain Man' Dashrath Manjhi spent 22 years of his life to make a road through a mountain for the villagers, there was already a sea of people gathered to get a glimpse of the actor.

A source said, "Shah Rukh Khan happened to meet some of his friends from the industry at a studio on Tuesday night and Mika Singh was also present there.

He owns an orange Hummer, which has caught the fancy of a lot of people. During their meeting, Mika found out that Shah Rukh too likes his car and it seems that the singer has decided to lend it to the actor for a drive.`

Bravo Act: Sunny shoots in a snake filled lake

Ragini MMS-2, the forthcoming horror-erotica film, contains a horror-packed scene shot inside a lake. In fact, there is even a fleeting shot of the said scene in the film's trailer.

It appears at the point when Sunny's co-star follows her to a lake hoping to make love to her.

The lake was in Vasai on the outskirts of Mumbai, in a scary and quiet location. The said scene had to be shot at midnight when the water was cold, so as to get the desired effect. Sunny had to dip into the water to give her best shot but was petrified because the lake was quite a walk from her vanity van. There was also talk of water snakes.

The scene took an entire night to shoot and Sunny fell ill the following day and developed a minor skin allergy.

`I saw dead fish. The water was dirty,` said Sunny. `I was scared as hell,` she added.

Prachi turns Adhuna Akhtar`s muse?

Prachi Desai played celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Akhtar's muse for a photo shoot which was inspired by Maharani Gayatri Devi.

The two go back a long way when Prachi made her B-Town debut in the 2008 film 'Rock On!!' which had Adhuna's husband Farhan Akhtar as her co-star.

The actress and the stylist share a warm rapport so when she needed someone who could exude royalty, Adhuna felt Prachi was an apt choice.

Sonakshi's artistic inclination

Sonakshi`s artistic inclination

A little over three years old in the film industry, Sonakshi Sinha has already proved her acting chops.

But very few people know that she is an artist too. She tells us, `Since childhood, I have always enjoyed sketching and drawing. Even now, if I have a pen in my hand, I will start doodling instinctively.

At a recent art event, I just came up with a rough sketch of a girl, which was mistaken for a self-portrait (laughs).

While shooting for Dabangg, I would see Salman (Khan) paint. He gave me a few tips on drawing and even taught me a bit about charcoal painting.

I have not yet been able to put that knowledge to use though.`

Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda-starrer "Highway" may not be a big grosser at the box office, but it is shinning brighter than Jimmy Sheirgill's `Darr@The Mall`, say trade pundits

The Imtiaz Ali directorial has collected around Rs.15 crore in India, leaving `Darr@The Mall` far behind despite both films reportedly hitting around same number of screens i.e approximately 800 in the country Feb 21.

`'Darr@The Mall' has earned around Rs.3.5 crore in four days. 'Highway' has collected between Rs.15 crore and Rs.15.5 crore,` Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines told IANS.

Puneet Sahay of Spice Cinemas says `Highway`, co-produced by Imtiaz and Sajid Nadiadwala, picked up well on weekend.

`The occupancy on the opening day was only 42 percent. It picked up on Saturday with 78 percent occupancy. 'Highway' did better on Sunday with 83 percent occupancy. The audience appreciated Alia's acting and also the picturisation,` said Sahay and added: "On Monday, the occupancy dropped to 35 percent."

"'Darr@The Mall' is not doing well. It was around 20 percent in first three days and on Monday only 15 percent," he said.

It's not just the audiences, who were stunned by Alia's screen presence, megastar Amitabh Bachchan also praised the 20-year-old in his tweet.

`'HtohP'('Hasee Toh Phasee') and 'Highway' ... two films back to back and did not want to come away from them. Parineeti and Alia ... gems,` Amitabh tweeted Sunday.

Actress Raima Sen was spellbound too by Alia's acting prowess in the film that also stars Randeep Hooda.
