In a major jolt to ‘Flappy Bird’ game lovers, the Vietnamese
creator and popular game developer, Nguyen Ha Dong has finally pulled
down the mobile game from the Apple and Google app stores.
Apologizing to the game users across the world, the Hanoi based
developer has said that the game has been taken off as he can’t
compromise with his simple life anymore.
Brushing aside speculations related to legal issues forcing him to
go ahead with the decision, Dong said the decision is not due to any
kind of pressure developing upon him.
Flappy Bird is presently one of the most downloaded mobile games worldwide.
The Android version has been downloaded up to 50 million times, and till date attracted more than half a million reviews.
The game is earning on an average $50,000 a day from advertising, as told by Dong himself in a media interview sometime back.
